Forgiveness

Forgiveness

The Hotpot | By Lisanne

Can we really forgive when we haven’t allowed ourselves to be angry?

Can we truly skip the fire to get to the ashes?

The buddha said once: ‘Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.’

If someone placed a hot coal in our hand, the first thing we feel isn’t “intent to throw”—it’s pain.
