The “stand-out” isn’t the most gifted person in the room.
It is often an average to above-average performer who spend more time working on what’s important.
They’re the one who quietly keeps showing up, when no one sees.
They’re the person still at the keyboard when the office is empty.
Their energy flows into a few meaningful moves, and let the distractions fall away.
They don’t chase every new thing.
They protect their focus like it’s sacred.
A lot of people have talent.
Few have the patience to use it well.
Maybe that’s the secret talent after all — staying with it.
