The Year Ahead 2025

The Year Ahead 2025

As I begin this year, just like last year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what I’m working towards. In this post, I’ll share where all of this is headed in the year ahead and the direction I’m focusing on. I’ll also talk about what I hope to build, create, and share with the world. The year 2025 will be guided by five central themes:

Adventure and exploration. There is very little in life that is better than a good adventure. The world is meant to be experienced, not only read about. In 2025, I hope to take more trips by motorbike and make more trips in general.

The Tiny Bits newsletter. I’ve truly enjoyed the way I’ve been ending this newsletter this year. Each month, I’ve been sharing 10 hand-picked recommendations, from books to interesting quotes, along with portraits painted by Neel Korteweg, who has created some incredible acrylic portraits of both famous and lesser-known people during her lifetime—each with a story of their own. I’m grateful to feature her work here, and I’m excited to continue sharing it with you. In the coming year, I’ll continue this journey and increase the frequency of my newsletter to twice a month. Stay tuned!

Unifying this community. As we move into the new year, I’m excited to take our Tiny Book Club to the next level. With the club now on Instagram and other platforms, I’m eager to connect with all of you in a deeper, more personal way. By sharing books, thoughts, and discussions online, I hope to create a space where we can all come together—no matter where we are—and feel a sense of belonging. Through regular updates, live sessions, and interactive content, I want to make this club even more inclusive, inviting everyone to join the conversation and share their unique perspectives. This is about building a community together where we can learn, grow, and support each other. I can’t wait to continue this journey with you and watch our community thrive. Stay tuned!

Continue building my personal vocabulary list. As I step into this new year, I’m excited to continue building on what I’ve learned in Spanish, and I already know one thing that will be a huge part of my journey: my personal vocabulary list. Over the past year, it’s become more than just a list–it’s been a reflection of my progress. Each new word or phrase I add is like another small victory, and I can already imagine how much bigger that list is going to get this year. This year, I’m setting a goal to add 50 more words each week. I want to make these words part of my everyday conversations, whether it’s practicing with friends, chatting with native speakers, or simply thinking in Spanish. I’m excited to see how this simple practice of tracking and revisiting my list will help me deepen my understanding and fluency.

Keep the conversation going on innovations in the nonprofit sector. In 2025, I’m excited to dive into the innovations happening in the nonprofit sector and keep the conversation alive about how we can ensure kids are safe, healthy, and fulfilled. I’ll be exploring the creative programs and new ideas making a real difference for children—whether it’s through mental health support, better education, or community initiatives. My hope is to share inspiring stories, spark new ideas, and encourage others to get involved in building a brighter, safer future for our kids. Stay tuned for some amazing breakthroughs.

So, what about you? Do you have any language goals or personal projects you’re excited to tackle this year? Let me know in the comments!
