Books Written by Virginia Giuffre

On 21 October 2025 Alfred A. Knopf published Nobody’s Girl, the memoir of Virginia Roberts Giuffre, six months after she died in Western Australia at the age of 41. In 2000, aged 16 and working as a spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, she was approached by Ghislaine Maxwell and drawn into Jeffrey Epstein’s circle; from 2015 she became the most prominent of his accusers, suing Maxwell for defamation and, in 2021, Prince Andrew. She wrote the book with the journalist Amy Wallace and, according to her publisher, said unequivocally that she wanted it published. Nine days after it appeared, Buckingham Palace announced that Andrew would lose his remaining titles. This guide covers her one book: what it is about and where to begin.

How to Read Virginia Giuffre

There is only one book, so there is no order to work out. Nobody’s Girl is told broadly in sequence, from her childhood in California and Florida to the years of litigation that made her name public, and it was finished before her death in April 2025.

Readers who know the story mainly from the news — the 2019 BBC Panorama interview, the photograph with Prince Andrew, the 2022 settlement — will find that those episodes are only part of the book; much of it is about her life before and after Epstein, and about how she came to speak publicly.

How Virginia Giuffre Tells Her Story: Testimony in Her Own Words

Nobody’s Girl was written with Amy Wallace, an American journalist, and is told in Giuffre’s first person. It draws on events she had already described over more than a decade in court filings, depositions and interviews, but the book goes further than any of those, into her childhood, her family and the years in Australia that the court record never covered.

The tone is that of testimony rather than exposé. Reviewers singled this out: Emma Brockes in The Guardian called it “important [and] courageous”, and Alexandra Jacobs in The New York Times Book Review read it against the wider web of finance, law, media and politics around Epstein. Wallace also wrote a foreword for the published edition, which appeared after Giuffre’s death.

The book is also a record of how she turned her case into advocacy, through the organisations she founded and the lawsuits she brought. For writers who share her subjects, from survivors’ memoirs to the investigations into powerful men, see Authors like Virginia Giuffre.
